Peer Reviewer Process

Progressive Journal of Advanced Engineering and Technology (PJAET) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and significance of published research. The review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening
  2. Assignment to Reviewers
  3. Double-Blind Review Process
  4. Author Revision
  5. Editorial Decision
  6. Copyediting and Proofreading
  7. Publication
  8. Ethical Considerations
  • The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment of the submitted manuscript.
  • Checks for adherence to journal scope, formatting guidelines, and plagiarism (maximum similarity index: 20%).
  • Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria will be returned to the authors for revision or rejection.
  • The manuscript is anonymized to remove author details and assigned to at least two independent reviewers.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.
  • Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartiality.
  • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
    • Originality and Novelty
    • Technical Quality and Methodology
    • Relevance and Significance
    • Clarity and Organization
    • References and Citations
  • Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
  • If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter addressing reviewer comments.
  • The revised manuscript is re-evaluated by the same reviewers (if necessary).
  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback:
    • Accepted: The manuscript is approved for publication.
    • Minor Revisions: Authors must make small adjustments before acceptance.
    • Major Revisions: Substantial improvements are required, and the manuscript undergoes re-review.
    • Rejected: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope.
  • Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting and formatting.
  • Authors review the final proof before publication.
  • The final version is published in an open-access format on the journal’s website.
  • The article is assigned a DOI for citation and indexing purposes.
  • PJAET follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
  • Reviewers and authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and ethical misconduct will result in rejection and possible blacklisting.
